OVERVIEW

Carter-Lambert Divisions is actively seeking Vulnerability Assessment Analysts for Web Applications to join our Department of Veteran Affairs team in support of the Office Information Security (OIS) Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC).


100% Remote


Job Duties:

•        Perform security assessments against web applications for vulnerabilities, security misconfigurations, and compliance-related concerns

        Utilize a variety of industry standard security tools to conduct manual-based security assessments

        Utilize a variety of industry standard security tools to conduct automated scans against web applications

        Review new vulnerabilities as they are published and develop impact assessments

        Determine risk from vulnerabilities based on availability of exploit and potential loss of information and IT services capabilities

        Produce detailed reports (automated and manual) based on results from assessments and be able to explain in detail to customers

        Assist with drafting, updating, and modernizing SOPs and guidelines as needed

        Potential travel limited to about 5%, if needed

 

Qualifications


Required Education and Experience:

        Bachelor's degree in technology-related field - equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

        Experience with conducting security assessments of large enterprise systems and applications

        Experience working with Federal Government agencies is a plus 

        Experience with vulnerability scanning tools like Burp Suite, Tenable NESSUS, IBM AppScan, Kali Linux, NMAP

        Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) top 10

        Security certifications such as Security+, Network+, CISSP, C|EH are a plus

        ServiceNow ticketing experience
