Carter-Lambert Divisions is actively seeking Cybersecurity Threat Intelligence (CTI) Analysts to join our Department of Veteran Affairs team in support of the Office Information Security (OIS) Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC)


Multiple work locations available, including - Hines, IL; Martinsburg, WV; Washington, DC

Job Duties

•        Assist in the day-to-day overseeing of the threat intelligence lifecycle

        Identify organizational intelligence requirements

        Collect relevant data to conduct all-source analysis for decision making processes

        Monitor and assess potential threats and weaknesses with the organization as well as information reported by outside agencies

        leverage threat intelligence to identify, comprehend, and decipher emerging threats, then closely monitor indicators of compromise (IOC) and take remedial action in case of a breach

        Prioritize threat assessments and direct focus accordingly

        Convey technical information to groups of stakeholders with varying degrees of technical acumen

        Distill complex ideas and concerns for managerial decision making, but retain the depth of technical knowledge to address comments, questions, and concerns from technical staff as it pertains to Cyber Threat Landscape

        Provide reporting and notifications regarding potential threats to the customer

        Threats include specific malware, software/hardware vulnerabilities, and various actor sets

        Interact across a SOC environment with other Cybersecurity teams

        Audience for reporting ranges from the executive level to non-IT staff of the organization

        Provide Cyber Threat reporting on a daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual basis

        Tasking will depend on both the threat landscape and information available on a day-to-day basis

        Utilize strong research, development, and reporting skill-sets for threat reporting, especially for nation-state actors

        Write documents varying in length between short synopses and long form, annual reports

        Create and deliver presentations for large groups

        Meet strict deadlines for document production

        Assist with drafting, updating, and modernizing SOPs and guidelines as needed

        Potential travel limited to about 5%, if needed

 

Qualifications


Required Education and Experience:

        Bachelor's degree in technology-related field - equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

        Experience with threat reporting, especially nation-state actors, is required

        Strong experience with Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint required

        Experience with Microsoft Teams is required

        Experience with Microsoft SharePoint desirable

        Experience with system, network, or security administration is desirable

        Remedy ticketing system experience

        ServiceNow ticketing experience
